Dream Golf | Triple Threat

TRIPLE

THREAT

Ever wanted to visit Bandon, Cabot, and Sand Valley in the same year? A golf-mad Joe tells you how it’s done.

Joe Rosteck loves great golf. And he particularly enjoys the type of golf where you feel the firm turf under your shoes, and the wind occasionally plays havoc with the flight of your ball. Rosteck, who lives in Colorado and works in business development—along with buddies that join him on his adventures—are happy playing 152 holes over five days, and are the types who are always planning their next trip before they’ve finished the one they are on. Yes, these guys are golf nuts—the kind of golfers who read books about the courses they’ll visit, and love a round where they get to experience all that nature throws at them. Most of all, Rosteck embraces all that Bandon, Cabot, and Sand Valley have to offer—“You’re engulfed by the golf,” he says. “They’re places you don’t think are real, and once you get there it’s euphoria.”

It is that thrill that led him to travel across North America—more than 4,000 miles from Bandon in Oregon to Cabot in Nova Scotia—to play all three properties in a single year.
